    • If you’re on blood thinning medications for a medical condition, please consult with your doctor before discontinuing.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol 24h prior to your appointment.
  • There is no need for bowel preparation prior to anal botox.
  • Your provider will first take a thorough history and discuss your treatment goals to develop a tailored treatment plan based on your needs.
  • Topical numbing cream will then be applied to the treatment area for 10-15min
  • A very fine insulin needle will then be used to administer the treatment to the desires area(s).
  • This process usually takes less than 2min and you will only feel a slight pinch on injection
  • Avoid Ibuprofen, Advil or Motrin for at least 48h.
    • Tylenol is acceptable to take if experiencing discomfort
  • Take it easy and relax the rest of the day. You may resume normal activity the day after your treatment.
  • You may resume sexual activity 24h after a Showtox/Scrotox treatment.
  • For anal Botox for general discomfort, it is recommended to wait 1wk before resuming sexual activity to avoid damage to the tissue.
  • For the treatment of fissure, it is recommended to wait at least 6wks.
