And why should I use them?
Exosomes are on track to become the “IT” product of 2024 and for good reason! They hold enormously regenerative capabilities, are easy to use, and easy to add on to just about ANY aesthetics treatment!
The TLDR version would be that exosomes accelerate wound recovery, reduce inflammation, boost collagen production, and protect the skin from environmental stressors. Essentially, they dramatically reduce your downtime and significantly improve your results!
But what are they and why should I use them?
Exosomes are essentially the functional part of stem cells. They are tiny envelopes full of messenger proteins, growth factors, peptides, and other regenerative factors that seek out damaged, dysfunctional cells in the body to stimulate tissue repair.
They are quickly replacing most PRP treatments like PRP Microneedling (aka Vampire Facials). PRP has long been used for it’s role in tissue regeneration, but exosomes have been showing MUCH more powerful results.
The effects on tissue healing and regeneration are similar to those of PRP, the differences being that:
- They do not require a blood draw. Instead, companies derive them from human adipose mesenchymal stem cells and packaged in an individual vial for use. Some companies also source theirs from placental or umbilical cord tissue.
