  • Please avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, or self/spray tans for 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • Discontinue the use of alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA/BHAs), benzoyl peroxide, retinols and other potentially irritating products 3-4 days prior unless otherwise instructed by provider.
  • Men, please come with facial hair neatly trimmed and lined up to maximize treatment area.
  • If you have a history of herpes infection (cold sores), you may wish to start an anti-viral medication on the day prior to your peel and continue for 7 days.
    • Your provider can assist with getting you this prescription if needed.
  • Please arrive to your appointment with a clean face with NO makeup.
  • We will apply topical numbing cream for 45min prior to your treatment
  • You will then lay flat and we place laser-safe eye shields over your eyes
    • We can also use numbing eye drops and intra-eye shields for more thorough eyelid treatment.
  • You will feel a series of small zaps and some mild heat
  • The entire treatment only takes 10-15 minutes depending on the areas we are treating
  • Finally, we apply topical exosomes (growth factors) to the treated area followed by a thin layer of ZO Hydrating Crème and your treatment will be complete.
  • Do not wash your face for at least 5h after your treatment.
  • You will be given specific instructions on how to use the remaining exosomes and your post-treatment recovery products from ZO SkinHealth.
  • You may use vinegar soaks and cool packs for comfort over the first couple of days.
  • Your skin may feel warm like a sunburn for 2-4h post-treatment, you may use a thin layer of hydrating crème as needed.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and sweating for 24h
  • Begin applying sunscreen every morning starting the day after your treatment.
  • Avoid procedures, such as facials, hair removal, microdermabrasion, and laser for 3-4 weeks (light facials may be done after 2 weeks)
  • Avoid make-up for at least 24h, then use clean applicators and preferably mineral based make-up products.
  • Skin may peel for up to 5-6 days
    • Do not scrub or use exfoliants to remove it, allow it to come off naturally.
  • Avoid “active” skincare products until the “sandpaper” feeling of the skin has resolved. (i.e. AHA, Glycolic, etc).
  • Once the skin is intect and healed, you may resume your normal skincare routine, usually after 2 weeks.
